Dry Needling

Both chronic and acute pain in patients can be eased with a procedure known as dry needling. It is effective because it uses tiny needles directed at the body’s myofascial trigger points that refer pain throughout the body.

The needles serve to normalize the chemical levels found in the body’s trigger points and in the process, to decrease muscle tension and pain.

Immediate effects after dry needling can include reduced muscle tension, increased range of motion, and healing.

It is particularly effective for such problems as chronic neck, back and shoulder pain, headaches, tendonitis and jaw pain.
